Merrimack Street Redevelopment Project

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back!

Pentucket Bank has called downtown Haverhill home for over 132 years. It has been our privilege to serve you, your families, your businesses, and our community in our Main Office at One Merrimack Street.

In preparation of a new development project spanning across much of Merrimack Street, our long-time Main Branch was demolished in October 2024. Upon the completion of the first phase of the development, we’ll look forward to welcoming you to our newly redesigned Main Branch which will be built as a part of the development, and right back on the corner where Pentucket Bank has anchored Haverhill’s downtown for decades. We are proud to be a part of this multi-million dollar transformation and to bring our customers and the community a new and enhanced space in the heart of downtown, with the same superior service you’ve come to know and love.

During construction, please continue to visit us at any of our other local Branches, including two in Haverhill, just a short ride from Merrimack Street. With our headquarters still located at 2 Merrimack Street, and a full-service ATM located on the bottom floor (by Barrio), we are committed to remaining rooted in downtown Haverhill, the place we have always called home.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Pentucket Bank

What is District Square?

The east end of Haverhill's historic downtown is undergoing a $160 million transformation, introducing mixed-use space that will include housing, restaurants, retail stores, public use spaces and parking. The redevelopment, named "District Square," is planned to unveil in 2025.
